Our Mission

Our mission is to give women at risk the opportunity to overcome destructive lifestyles of addiction, incarceration, and poverty. We provide a protected environment both physically and spiritually so that women may grow and mature in their faith and be transformed by the power of God.

Coastal Bend Grace House Statement of Belief

We believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He came to earth, lived a sinless life, was crucified and buried, and rose on the third day. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven. We believe that salvation comes only by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

Jullie Lawrence, Executive Director | Coastal Bend Grace House

Executive Director:  Jullie Lawrence

Hello, my name is Jullie Lawrence, I am the Executive Director at Coastal Bend Grace House. I too have traveled the road of bad choices and self-destruction. Having struggled with drug addiction and incarceration, I understand the challenges of anyone trying to free themselves from the condemnation and stigma that comes with that past.

I am a graduate of the Grace House in San Antonio and can empathize with women working through those things in their life that hold them back and from moving on. God has called me to minister to women seeking a life change and don’t know how to find it. I am committed to this ministry and to any women that sincerely desire a new life. I met Keith Lawrence in this ministry and after serving together for five years, we were married. We have given our life to helping women break the cycle of a destructive lifestyle.

If you are reading this and need our help, reach out. We will give you a hand up not a handout.

Mark 10:45: For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for others.

House Director:  JoAnne Hight

My name is JoAnne Hight and I currently serve as House Director at Coastal Bend Grace House. I joined the CBGH staff in May of 2019 after running a half-way house for ten years. My desire was to find a ministry that was faith-based and made disciples teaching women that they can recover from destructive lifestyles and find hope, peace, and love in the person of Jesus Christ.

I struggled with my own addiction and for a time, thought I could help myself. I tried several secular programs and couldn’t stay clean for a period longer than 3 or 4 months. During my time as director of the half-way house, I was asked by a resident to help her find a church. During that time I found my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My struggle with my past and addiction was gone.

Coastal Bend Grace House is not a half-way house. It is a transformation house and I am so grateful to God for leading me here to serve with others that truly love God with all their hearts. I love helping other women find the peace they have searched for all their life I hope to meet you soon.
