Thank you Coastal Bend! Our third annual banquet-fundraiser was a huge success. Once again we were sold out. Not only sold out we were oversold and had to bring out additional seating. The excitement of the evening was contagious as we gathered to learn more about the ministry of Coastal Bend Grace House. We were so blessed by Jerri Dawn and Rebekah as they shared a small part of their testimony and blessed us even more with some tremendous songs of worship. What a blessing! Following them would prove to be difficult but Robin stepped up. Sharing her testimony of how the Lord is working in her life and transforming her into the Godly woman He always intended her to be. She truly glorified God as she shared from the heart. It was a great evening and I received numerous texts, emails, and phone calls Friday following the event expressing how impressed and blessed people were for having attended. The common thread of all the comments and feedback was how the people connected to the ministry.
Truly this was even more important than any monetary blessings of the evening. The fact that people came and understand what Coastal Bend Grace House is really about was a goal achieved. Thanks to our dear friend and Brother Pastor Ken de Koning for the great job he did of MC for the evening.
We were blessed with an approximate 25% giving increase from last year’s banquet. We continue to receive donations and gifts, as of today we have received donations of $52,000. The annual event is designed to provide operating expenses for Coastal Bend Grace House throughout the year. This evening’s gifts will go a long way for providing to those women that have sought help and a change in their lives.
Each one of you that have contributed with prayers, volunteer time, donations of clothing and monetarily are critical parts of this ministry. Thank you falls way short of how we feel at Coastal Bend Grace House for your generosity. We know that you will be blessed for your desire and your response to be involved in this very critical God-ordained ministry.
Thank you and God bless.
